Technician

Job Scope:

• Cummins diesel engine and Generators troubleshooting, service, and maintenance.
• Servicing and repair of main alternators.
• Installation and termination of electrical wiring, power/control cabling.

Qualifications and Experience:

• NVQ Level 3 or 4 or an equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering.
• Must have completed vocational or institutional training or have practical experience in the field.
• A minimum of 1 to 2 years’ hands-on experience in generator-related electrical/mechanical work (experience with diesel generators is preferred).
• Should be capable of independently performing tasks related to generator servicing and fault diagnostics.
• Ability to read and understand wiring diagrams is essential.
• Ability to refer and work with Parts Manuals and Workshop Manuals is required.
• Should be able to identify generator issues and repair them without supervision.
